So I treated myself since i actually got a decent paycheck and bought myself Bioshock. It's pretty dang good...well it's gotten a 10 out of 10 on reviews, so i kinda new it was going to be pretty good.
It's set in around 1940's So the enviroment kicks ass, But it's set in an underwater world that a guy created in order to get away from the worlds governments and of course doesn't work out. everyone is crazy. I'm getting ahead of myself tho. It starts off with my char. flying in a plane, and it wrecks in the ocean with this light house in the middle of nowhere. Once you go in there is only one real path...a diving vehical that goes down and goes into this underwater city. Well all i have to say about this game....it's pretty damn scary at some points now that i'm farther alongin the game it's not too scary but when the game first started they did some crazy shit like picking up something the lights go out for a second. and you turn around and right in your face is a scary ass doctor. but anyway i'll post the trailor on here so you can see what it's like.
So it's 1:20 at night and i can't get to sleep. Whats new there.......then i got to ask the question what is keeping me up. Am I stressed about something and i just don't know it or what? Or is my new OS (gnu/linux) keeping me up and taunting me to learn it very badly....i'm not sure but i do think it's very sexy tho. and the idea of free software LEGALLY is a nice feeling....and the sad thing is even tho it does have it's down falls with the big learning curve...well it's not really big if you do basic stuff......like anybody can use it right from the start and it comes with everything you will ever need...BUT it's got stuff that i need to have.......i'm a media junkie and right now i had to find a nice music player......something that is simular to iTunes well song bird is the only thing they have that is really nice and sleek......but it's not like installing something on windows where you download it double click and follow directions...it's alot more complicated then that.......infact i personally don't know what i'm doing......but i copy and paste alot of stuff off the internet and i get the programs i want to work. Hopefully that will all change soon since i'm going to be picking up a book prolly tomarrow. Anyway i'm also debating on what i should get for my cellphone when i upgrade it in january.......the iphone is out of the question mainly because it just came out......i don't trust stuff that just comes out really.....BUT there is the new blackberry curve that looks really nice and then there is also the Samsung Blackjack and then there is the all mighty treo that is always popular with people. my debate with these phones is now.....syncing them. i want to be able to hook them up to my pc get all my contacts, music, video, bookmarks, and documents off my computer and onto my phone......main problem here is GNU/LINUX now i'm sure there is something we can do but i havn't looked into it really........as far as the treo is concerned that might have no problems at all....since GNU/LINUX has a defualt program to sync with PALM OS but is it really compatible with GNU/LINUX since it is a cell phone and not just a typical PDA. The Blackberry might be able to as well since it's just got it's own OS and not like the Blackjack which has windows moble on it......granted there is stuff to make GNU/LINUX run windows programs i just think it will prolly be more pain then what it looks. anyway thats all i have to say for now.........ohyeah treo and blackberry are going to prolly run me around $300 with $100 mail in rebate and the black jack is looking like around $100...........hmmm what to do what to do......
